Sikh HolidayCS: St Anthony's Foundation
In solidarity with all who hunger and thirst for justice and peace, St. Anthony’s mission is to feed, heal, shelter, clothe, lift the spirit of those in need, and create a society in which all persons flourish. Athenian students will either work alongside other volunteers serving 2,700 hot lunches at St. Anthony’s Dining Room or will be working in their clothing program. The students working in the clothing program will stand in line and eat lunch in the dining room in community with program recipients.Please plan to be available from 8:15am to 2:30pm. Transportation will be provided from campus and a BART station.

Orchard Work Party
Athenian OrchardHelp support the student-run Athenian Orchard, which is home to over 125 fruit-bearing trees. Produce grown is donated to local food banks. There are a variety of activities for different bodies. No experience necessary; we'll teach you!
Please wear sun protection and boots or sturdy close-toed shoes. We have a supply of tools & gloves though you're welcome to bring your own. Reusable water bottles are encouraged.

Volunteer with California State Parks and Mount Diablo Trails Alliance to make a positive impact close to Athenian! You will conduct trail repairs and learn proven techniques with a focus on Safety, Preservation, and Equitable Access. Learn more at www.mountdiablotrailsalliance.org/dig-days.
You will need to bring lunch and water. Wear sunscreen, closed-toe shoes, and long pants. A waiver is required.

College Admission Case Studies Program (Class of 2025)
St. Mary's College HS, BerkeleyCheck-in begins at 6:30 p.m. The program will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. with small group discussions about the cases facilitated by college admission representatives. Senior Ball

California has one of the largest economies in the world and yet, in spite of our amazing agricultural abundance, 1 in 11 people–and 1 in 8 children–are facing hunger. The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano provides 3,500,000 meals each month. Students will be helping distribute produce to people at Clinica de la Raza in Concord.
Plan to be available from 7:45am to 11:00am. Transportation will be available from campus and a BART station.

Higher Ground Neighborhood Development Corp. works in East Oakland to provide services that address the intellectual development of young people through after school programming, career to college workforce programming, school-based behavioral health treatment, professional development, and service learning experiences. Athenian works on several community projects with Higher Ground: California Coastal Cleanup Day, Martin Luther King, Jr Day of Service, and Earth Day.Specific details will be announced later. Main HallPlease arrive promptly at the Main Hall so students can be checked in and begin their assessments on time. After their assessments, students will proceed to a pizza party with Assistant Head of Middle School, Justin Guerra to get to know him and their classmates!

CS: OCA PickItUp Chinatown
OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates is a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs). Their Oakland chapter organizes a cleanup of Oakland’s Chinatown on the second Sunday of each month. Because of increased attacks on Asian Americans, our participation in the cleanup also helps increase community safety.Transportation will be available from Athenian and BART stations.

The Bounty Garden is a garden that Amelia Abramson (Athenian class of 2012) helped start at Hap Magee Park in Danville that grows food to donate to local food banks. Groups of Athenian students have been working at the garden since its founding. The Athenian group may help with weeding, spreading woodchips, or other similar tasks. Students may take the bus from Athenian or provide their own transportation to Hap Magee Park in Danville.
