This summer we have a new system for dealing with camper liability forms. No longer will you have to print, sign, and mail in your liability form. When registering on-line you will be asked to accept the terms of liability. Below you will find the details of the liability terms.
The following camps and class will be attending off-campus field trips:
Summit Seekers, Classic Sports Camp, Outdoor Adventure Camp, Counselor in Training, and Sewing (to purchase fabric).
The Athenian Summer Camp program provides a variety of learning experiences outside of the classroom and away from The Athenian School campus. Parents are encouraged to come along and be part of the experience. Day trips include but are not limited to: museums, theme parks, the zoo, fabric shopping, roller-skating, restaurants, parks, bowling and baseball games. Outdoor experiences may include travel to and participation in hiking, lakes, and tide pools.
We make every effort to minimize risk to participants and instruct participants in the safe negotiation of such risk as may remain. The customer acknowledges that there are circumstances in which an accident could occur to a participant.
Trips are taken in school buses. Sew What! students may go in school vans depending on the number of students registered. Parents and guardians are advised that inherent risks are present in these activities. By registering online, you as the parent and or legal guardian of the camper participating in The Athenian School Summer Camp, give permission for your son/daughter to participate in these trips and agree to waive all liability against The Athenian School and its employees for harm to your son/daughter resulting from the risks inherent in these activities.
Summer Enrichment Classes do not attend field trips. In the event a trip might be offered, you will be notified in advance.
Recognizing that The Athenian School will do its best to ensure a safe experience, you understand that certain dangers or accidents may occur. You hereby release The Athenian School from all responsibility and liability of any nature, including claims for injury, illness, death, loss or damage, resulting from your child’s’ participating in program activities. You hereby give permission to the camp to provide, seek, and consent to routine health care, administration of prescribed medication, and emergency treatment for my child, as may be necessary, including, but not limited to x-rays, routine tests and treatment, and/or hospitalization. You also give permission for the camp to arrange related transportation. You agree to the release of any records necessary for treatment, referral, billing, or insurance purposes. In the event you cannot be reached in an emergency, you hereby give permission to the physician selected by The Athenian School representative, to hospitalize, secure proper treatment for, and to order injection and/or anesthesia and/or surgery for your child.
The medical information you provide is true and accurate as far as you know.
All campers attending The Athenian School Summer Program must have an active medical insurance policy issued in the United States.
