town meeting with Dyke

The Town Meeting is a unique and quite special part of the Athenian School experience. Run by elected student officers, this meaningful forum for participatory democracy provides a venue for all members of the community (students, faculty, and staff) to consider topics of common concern. Petitions may be submitted by any member of the community and are designated "for discussion," "for recommendation," or "for decision" by the Town Meeting officers and the Head of School. Town Meeting allows the Athenian community to discuss, explore, and address issues that arise in the course of the life of the school.
