What advice would you give to a student coming to Athenian?
Come in with an open mind. Athenian has a lot of unique programs that really make it “Athenian” and coming into it with an open mind allows you to step out of your comfort zone and find classes or activities that you haven’t done before. Maybe you'll find your true passion in life or something you might want to pursue for a long time to come. I think that’s why Athenian has different, interesting and sometimes wacky classes so that you can explore your interests. Buddhist Thought class seems like it will be such a doozy. Astronomy is super hands on, and Intro to Philosophy and Plato is one of those really thoughtful and interesting classes. In Astronomy our homework is going out to look at the stars!

What is your favorite place on campus?
The treehouse past the CFTA (Center for the Arts) is my favorite spot on campus. It is situated on a small hill behind the science buildings and has a great view of campus. It's also a great place to go with friends to talk, and it's a place to unwind and destress after a long day. It was one of the first places I went when I came to Athenian.
