“Working as a part of the Athenian robotics team gave me my first true exposure to real life engineering. It was this experience that led me to decide to major in engineering. In my introductory engineering courses I realized how valuable that experience had indeed been, as my other classmates struggled to learn everything I had already picked up in high school. In addition to learning relevant engineering practices, I also learned a lot about working as a part of a team in a stressful environment.”
— Floris Van Breugel '04, Cornell University Presidential Research Scholar

Community Service & Outreach

Last year, we had outreach events for a 5th grade class, a group of 4-H members, and FIRST Lego League team. Our outreach program is a hands-on experience run by student team members. Participants learned about machine tools, were able to operate our competition robot, and made their own line-following robots for a mini-competition.
