Summer Program 2026
We look forward to another fun-filled summer here at Athenian! Dates for our 2026 Summer Programs are below and information on our many offerings are available in the digital flipbook below (to view the flipbook in full screen, click the square icon on the right hand side). Registration will open to the public at 9:00AM on February 9, 2026.
Athenian Summer Program Dates:
- June 22-26, 2026 (1 week): Session 1
- July 6-17, 2026 (2 weeks): Session 2
- July 20-31, 2026 (2 weeks): Session 3

Want to Work with Us This Summer?
A Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for planning and implementing the summer camp activities in conjunction with their program director and lead teachers as appropriate. The Summer Camp Counselors will oversee a small group of campers, participate in all camp activities, supervise a small group during lunch, and supervise campers during morning/afternoon care, pick-up/drop-off, the swim period (in or out of the pool), and on field trips. A Summer Camp Lifeguard is responsible for the safety of all pool activities, swim lessons as assigned, and pool area care in conjunction with the Aquatic Director and/or Head Lifeguard. Lifeguards, while focused on pool activities, will ensure the safety and wellness of all the program participants. The Lifeguard and Swim Instructor is responsible for private and group lessons with the goal of advancing swimmers from their current skill level to the next. (Work hours may begin as early as 9:30am and may end as late as 5:30pm but start and end work assignments depend on enrollment). For more information review the job description here.
A Summer Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Director of Summer Programs in all day-to-day activities of Athenian Summer Programs. The Summer Logistics Support will help set up/break down camp, manage supplies, support pick-up/drop-off, manage attendance, confirm all bus riders make it onto their appropriate busses, manage that all kids make it to their swim lessons on time, create camp rosters for each camp/class, support family communications and social media, participate in camp wherever needed, help in maintaining a smooth camp experience for all campers, staff, and families. Counselors are the primary supervisors and mentors for their campers—playing a significant role in meeting important community and identity outcomes for campers. They hold the key responsibility of being the #1 staff member that campers will associate their camp experience with. Counselors rotate living in the campus dorms with campers and other counselors and support individual campers’ growth as well as the group dynamics by participating in all-camp programming together, eating meals with campers, and creating bunk programming. Counselors will report to Head Counselors and work in collaboration with many other staff members to grow in their youth development skills and facilitation/planning skills.
