Summer Programs

Summer Cancellations and Changes

Athenian Summer Community:

For the health and safety of our beloved summer community, Athenian Summer Programs will be cancelling all in-person enrichment classes and nearly all camps for Summer 2020. All year we look forward to providing your children with a memorable and loving summer experience. We also take great pride in supporting our community of summer families. Although we are saddened by the decision, the health and safety of our campers, staff and faculty, summer leaders, and all of their/your families at home is our highest priority.

We are heartened by the announcement of the easing of some restrictions for childcare and summer camps, and we  hope to still run our Little Owls Camp at the end of July. We recognize how meaningful it would be for our campers from Grades 1-5 to have an active, creative and collaborative camp experience -- this summer more than ever. We will continue to follow and assess distancing and protection guidelines and make a final decision on the viability of Little Owls at the end of June.

Despite our many cancellations, we still want to stay connected with you through these trying times. In that mindset, we are  going to try something new! We are excited to announce that Athenian Summer Programs will be launching a limited selection of creative and enriching online offerings for grades 6-9, which will be led by dynamic Athenian faculty and familiar summer faces. If you’ve already registered for Summer Programs you are welcome to transfer your credit to register for any of our online offerings, or request a full refund.

On Friday, May 22nd we will publish our new schedule of online offerings on our Athenian Summer Programs website.

We wholeheartedly look forward to when we can all be together again. Be well and stay safe.
