Please give yourself ample time to park and pick up your student's schedule.
Parent/Guardian casual reception begins at 5:15 pm. Come early for light snacks, spirit wear purchases, and conversations with directors of programs that fall outside our standard A-G block schedule. Formal programming begins at 6:00 pm, in which you'll have an opportunity to meet and greet your student's classroom teachers, advisors and administrators.
Higher Ground Neighborhood Development Corp. works in East Oakland to provide services that address the intellectual development of young people through after school programming, career to college workforce programming, school-based behavioral health treatment, professional development, and service learning experiences. Athenian works on several community projects with Higher Ground: California Coastal Cleanup Day, Martin Luther King, Jr Day of Service, and Earth Day.
