Wheelchair Basketball Game

On May 9^th, Athenian will be hosting its second annual Wheelchair Basketball Game and you are invited! The men’s and women’s Athenian basketball teams will be competing against the Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program’s (BORP) team with all profits going to BORP and the Wheelchair Foundation. BORP assists physically disabled children and adults by providing them with accessible sports and recreation programs. The Wheelchair Foundation is a nonprofit organization that creates awareness of physical disabilities while striving to provide a wheelchair to every person who needs but cannot afford one all over the world. In accordance with the missions of these two organizations, our event aims to raise awareness of physical disabilities.

 

As athletes ourselves, we strongly believe in the power of sports and the need for them to be feasible for all, and you can help us! First, you can attend the fun-filled event on Monday, May 9^th.  Second, you can donate an item to our raffle, which can include gift cards and any other creative items. If you would like to donate an item, please email us! We greatly appreciate any contribution you can make in helping us support BORP and the Wheelchair Foundation.
