The course will emphasize personal creative growth and development, while learning about safety in the shop. In Woodworking Basics and Sculpture Art students will begin with hand tools and continue with power tools.

The course will emphasize personal creative growth and development, while learning about safety in the shop. In Woodworking Basics and Sculpture Art students will begin with hand tools and continue with power tools.
Additionally, through two mini lectures students will learn about contemporary sculpture and art, which will serve as visual inspiration for class projects. In this class, we are going to design, plan, and build two objects– integrating tool knowledge, mathematical concepts and visual aesthetics. Students will take home personal projects as a memento of their craft and growing knowledge.
