Description: Learn how to improve your writing skills while exploring various writing genres such as autobiographical, biographical, observational, problem solutions, and report of information. This course will reinforce the fundamentals of grammar, vocabulary, and spelling. Campers will concentrate on how to write in various styles as well as how to proofread and effectively utilize a dictionary. In addition, the course will rely on the previous day’s experiences, therefore, campers should plan to attend every class meeting in a session to get the most out of their experience. Just remember, the more time you spend writing and reading, the more time you are building your path to success!
Instructor Robert Nelson is a humanities teacher and baseball coach at the Athenian upper school. When he's not geeking out over history books, he's probably out for a run in the woods nearby or searching the Bay Area for the best secret burger shack.
