Favorite class: My favorite class was Advanced Chemistry because I thought that the activities and labs we did were super interesting. For example, the final project (in place of a final exam) was to synthesize aspirin from salicylic acid. We also explored how chemistry is applicable in real life through examining structures and functions of common medicines and talking to people who work in specialized branches of chemistry.
Activities: In the past, I was a part of the Basketball team. Although I am no longer a part of it, I was able to try it out to see if I liked it or not, and I made many friends through it. Currently, I am a member of the Asian Student Union and a leader for the Athenian Sexual Assault Prevention (ASAP) program.
