Trail Blazers - California Wildlife

Grade: K
Cost: $620
Description:
Mountains, rivers, deserts, beaches and oceans–California has it all! And it also has so many different animals and insects that live in different habitats. Explore the different landscapes of our beautiful state and learn about the animals that share our land. From black bears to monarch butterflies to California Condors, each day will cover a new habitat along with the species that live there. The session will wrap up as we prepare for a California safari of our own to see “animals” that live on our very own campus!
Trail Blazers is filled with engaging activities that will give your child an unforgettable summer. Campers will participate in a variety of age-appropriate games, arts and crafts, and non-competitive outdoor activities. In a safe setting, Kindergarten-aged campers will be grouped together with an Instructor, Counselors and caring Counselors-in-Training (CIT). This program is specifically designed for our littlest camper’s developmental level. A positive camp experience will pave the way for your child’s future success as your child enters school in the fall.

This is a great camp for little ones who love arts and crafts, enjoy sitting down and completing a short activity, and can follow directions away from their family in an age-expected fashion. These campers will be expected to use the bathroom on their own, eat lunch/snack with adult supervision (cost included in the price of registration, food restrictions can be accommodated), keep their hands to themselves, and (mostly) change into their swimsuits on their own (camp staff can minimally help if needed).

Campers signed up for full-day camp will have group swim lesson included in the afternoons. No prerequisite swimming ability is required for their group swim lessons (one instructor with two campers). Certified lifeguards and swim instructors will ensure the safety and swim growth of our youngest campers. Half-day campers will need to sign up for private swim lessons after camp, or as an “add on” during the 9-12:30pm block of time during registration if they want to participate in lessons.

No off campus Friday field trips for this camp.

Campers can add breakfast, private swim lessons after camp hours (one-on-one lessons), extended care and bus transportation for an additional fee. Half-day campers can add group swim lessons during camp hours as well.
