Favorite class: My favorite class I have taken is Middle East History, because we got to learn about a conflict that is going on right now, and has been going on for a long time. It was really interesting to learn about the conflict from two different sides (the Israeli side and the Palestinian side). One of my favorite parts of the class was the opportunity to ask questions of a tour guide from Israel and a tour guide from Palestine. Both work for the same tour company that gives people tours from an Israeli and Palestinian side. The tour company also helps builds bonds between Israelis and Palestinians so there is less conflict. We got to hear both of their experiences growing up during the conflict and what they were told in school about the other side. It was very eye opening.
